My friend, Katie, and I decided to get together with our kids and scout out some new places to take some good pictures. I've been eying this patch of blue stem for quite some time, but just haven't gotten around to loading everyone up and making an afternoon of it. Of course, my kids wouldn't cooperate. Once Brooks sat down in this spot he wouldn't move so I just snapped a couple of quick ones and then tried to help Katie (by providing some shade for that harsh sun) while she hopefully got some good shots of her kiddos. This was the only keeper of the day. Can't wait to see what Katie came up with.
I'm grateful for winter grasses!
