Film 365 Project - {Week 26}
I've made it halfway! As I write this, I'm actually 9 months into this project. I knew it was going to be difficult, but the hardest part has been keeping up with the blog posts (sometimes writing 3 or 4 weeks at a time just to catch up!). Hauling a camera around is something I do most of the time, so that part wasn't a huge change. Just being mindful of moments that I want to photograph and reaching for a film camera and not my phone took some effort. But the level of documentation/information that I wanted to accompany each photo took the most discipline. It's the element that I knew would be the most beneficial in this year of learning. It's also the area where I tended to slack, especially as I worked my way through a particular film stock. At the beginning of a roll, I found myself being more thorough and then letting up toward the end of the roll. Then I would become more disciplined as I saw positive results and found myself looking back at my notes when questions would arise. Knowing I'm over halfway through is much motivation and I know in a few short weeks I will have a whole year of memories that will make the whole project worthwhile!
