Photo Walk in Rockport, TX - ClickinWalk 2017
It's been several years since I've participated in the Clickin Moms community, but when I learned that Mae Burke and Kerlyn Van Gelder (both are local photographers as well as Clickin Pros) were hosting the Clickn Walk 2017 in our little hometown of Rockport, TX, I knew that it was going to be a great chance to meet some other local photographers and explore in our backyard!
We had a good turnout and spent a couple of hours strolling down the main shopping/art district of Rockport and made our way to the harbor before the sun began to set. It was a rare opportunity for me to meet with other adults (homeschool moms, can I get an "Amen"?) and spend some time doing what I love best!
I knew with an evening of full sun in our colorful little coastal town, that I wanted to bring along a roll of Ektar 100 (120 for the Pentax) and I also decided to try out some Agfa Vista+ 200 (35mm for the eos3). I didn't even bring a digital camera or get one single photo with my phone! All images were taken using my Pentax 67 with the 105mm 2.8 or my Canon eos 3 and 24-70mm 2.8. I've been getting basic scans from Indie Film Lab (trying to stay consistent for my Film 365 project) and then use LR for any quick edits. I was pleased with the way these turned out and think the two film stocks I chose were a great fit!
Enjoy!
After we finished our walking and talking, several of us gathered at a local restaurant to extend our ladies' night out. Numbers and info were exchanged with choruses of "let's do this more often!" Hopefully we will get together again soon, but if not, we can look forward to next year!
