She told me a few months back that she didn't want to learn to read because she wanted me to read to her forever.  She was afraid that if she learned to read that I would never read to her again.  I explained that I would always want to read to her because part of the joy of learning to read is reading to others. Looks like she's figured it out... This week I'm grateful for books and that I was taught to read.
